Show Me America! Bike Rally
I arrived back in Denton yesterday to participate in the "Show Me America Bike Rally" this morning put on by the Institutional Development office at TWU. I rode at the beginning of a field of 75 riders on a beautiful spring day to celebrate the end of my fund-raising bike ride. I was honored by the Mayor of Denton, written up in the Denton Record-Chronicle and treated as a hero by students, staff and family alike. In the last year and a half, I raised about $2000, while the bike rally raised an additional $3000. That amount raised will generate many more scholarships. To me, that means that Nancy will live longer because of the scholarships awarded in her memory.
